What Can Cause Swelling On The Face Along With Numbness In The Hands And Feet?

I am 64 years old. I do not qualify for Medicare for 2 months. I have limited funds and no insurance. Over 4 months I have excessive nonstop buzzing in my ears. I have noticeably aged 10 years in last couple months. Very swollen face and extreme bags under eyes. Feet and hands go numb when sitting or even standing. Horrible taste in my mouth. Hard to walk without back pain and shortness of breath along with tiring easily. Feet have been swelling up. There is also a weird sensation in back of ankle as if something is hitting me there. I will be eligible for Medicare in October, family is concerned I might not make it. Also I am suppose to be on thyroid medication but have not been able to get prescription renewed and have been without for over 6 months. Weight gain, too.

Hi,

The given symptoms of swelling of face, hand numbness, changed test of mouth suggestive of anemia, if the hemoglobin level gone down then it can give the same results as it is being stated here, just for confirmation you can go for hemoglobin testing and if found low then iron therapy is must, beside this it can be due to cardiopulmonary disease.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
