What Can Cause Tenderness In Breasts?

Hi: I'm 48 and had my tubes tied after the birth of my 4th child 16 years ago. My period has been going on now for almost a week. In the past 2-3 years, my periods have been very light and lasted only 1-3 days. This one is heavy. Also, I usually have had lately very little trouble with cramping. I've had a lot of discomfort this month. Also, I'm just now thinking about the fact that for about 2 weeks now my breasts have been very tender, reminding me how they used to feel in early pregnancy. I also have to admit I've felt very tired. Should I see my doctor, or not worry about this?
