Urologist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM.
As an Urologist,i can understand your concern.
A lipoma or cyst, once infected, becomes reddened and under cover of antibiotics, will need to be treated surgically.
On examination,a surgeon will decide, whether it should be excised immediately,or wait for the inflammation to subside and then operate it.
It's a minor operation, so there's nothing to worry about it.
If you've any other doubts, you may send it as a direct question,to me.
Dr.Matthew J. Mangat.
