What Causes A Spot On The Face?

I HAVE HAD THIS SPOT ON MY FACE FOR ABOUT 6 MONTHS NOW, IT LOOKS LIKE A LITTLE CIGARETTE BURN OR SOMETHING THE DOCTOR SAID IT DID NOT LOOK LIKE SKIN CANCER HE GAVE ME TWO DIFFERENT KINDS OF CREAM TO USE BUT IT STILL HAS NOT GONE AWAY, IT FEELS LIKE A BURN TO, COULD IT BE A BED BUG BITE I HEARD THEY DONT GO AWAY FOR AWHILE, AND WE SPEND ALOT OF TIME IN HOTELS
