What Causes Anal Itching And Greenish Stools?
Yesterday I noticed a red ring around my 4yr old s anus. He has complained that it hurts/itches on several occassions over the past 2 days. Once he complained it itched inside. Also, his poop has been almost fluorscent green for the past 3 days. We are bumfuzzled and are hoping a doctor can shed some light on the subject, as it s Memorial Weekend, and other than taking him to ER we are out of luck for treatment

Anal itching may be due to pinworm infestation or diaper rash or allergy to soaps or moisturizing creams or it may be due to gastroenteritis with repeated washing.
Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Get it done stool examination for worms or ova or cysts. Then consult your dermatologist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
