What Causes Breathlessness And Chest Pain?

I had a stomach bug over the weekend while on vacation. I was up in the mountains in Colorado and after the bug I could not seem to catch my breath and had chest pain. I am now back in Texas and am still have a little bit of trouble catching my breath. However, it is definitely not as bad as it was while in Colorado.

hi sir/mam,what i understand from the above is that you had a stomach viral infection or gastroenteritis.the epigastric pain may sometimes mimic chest pain.however, catching breath doesnt seem to fit into the diagnosis.i always advise my patients with chest pain and breathing difficulty to undergo an ECG which helps to rule out some serious pathology.so,its better if you go for an ECG.if it comes normal, symptoms can be comfortably attributed to gastric irritation.any further clarifications if needed, please dont hesitate.i'm happy to help.thank you.take care.bye.
