Have had brown discharge (with occasional clots, some larger than a quarter coin) for over 3 weeks. I have PCOS & normally do not menstruate regularly or at all since 2007. Did several medicated fertility cycles (including 3 IVFs & one FET. Every time, I had to use BCP to trigger a period. Progesterone alone didn't do it). After my last IVF/Miscarriage in 11/2009, I haven't gotten a period except for 1-2x/year. On metformin for the PSOS & to help control weight after I gained during fertility cycles.

I induced lactation & breastfed my adopted son from 12/2010-9/2011. Periods didn't resume after he weaned.

However, oddly, I've gotten relatively regular periods roughly every month from May-July. Starting 8/13/12, I bled red, lightly for a couple days, then the old/brown blood & clots started. There have been wisps of fresh/red blood a few times. Wondering if I should see a GYN.
