What Causes Bruises & Swelling In Metacarpal Region?
My 15yr old daughter plays softball and has bruising and swelling at the base of her second metacarpal (finger next to thumb). She has full movement of her finger, but has lots of pain when she presses on the swollen area. The injury happened about 4 weeks ago, the bruising has faded a lot, but the swelling (and localized pain) is still there. Any ideas?
