What Causes Bump On The Penis And Scrotal Itching?

From what i have been reading, i may have a simple case of sebaceous cysts. I have a steady girlfriend and neither of us is having sex with other partners. The other day, i noticed a very small pimple like thing on the foreskin of my penis. With a little bit of redness, and a couple others with no redness. They look a lot like many others, with the only difference that they don't have a hair coming out of them. My scrotum and perhaps penis itches just a little at times. I am wondering if i should be worried and not have sex with her unprotected anymore until i get it checked out, or if this is really just sebaceous gland. Online, i could not find if this could cause a slightly itchy scrotum. Also, it's the first time that i notice this, and i am 36 years old. Haven't had another partner in 2 years...
