What Causes Burning Sensation Around The Navel?

I am experiencing some discomfort in both sides of my back. A little burning there and around my naval. I also feel a bit sick to my stomach. I am a bit concerned. I know I have infection in my body because I had some blood in my urine. If this is a kidney stone, I sure am having a hard time passing it. I am also experiencing mucus drainage which I thought contributed to my upset stomach. I have allergies really bad this time of year.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As there are very non specific symptoms involving two or more systems of the body I feel that it may be a viral illness which is going on. I suggest that you take either Paracetamol or Ibuprofen at the appropriate doors and keep yourself well hydrated. If the symptoms are still persisting after 24 to 48 hours then I suggest seeking medical help.

Best regards
