What Causes Depression While On Sertraline And Thyroid Medication?

I am currently on Sertraline and am still very depressed and crying all the time. They don't know why except that I am in a lot of pain constantly and also have been taking my Thyroid medication wrong so the levels are all off. My doctor said I could try Truinellix, but my pharmacist said it is about $460 a month. I am retired and that is quite a bit out of my funds. They said sometimes the pharmaceutical company will help with coupons since the drug is new. Does your company do that?

Hello thanks for asking

You have depression and thyroid problem. A lot of individuals with depression have co-morbid thyroid disorder. Poor thyroid hormone levels control could lead to resistant depression and this is the probable reason your depression is not under control.

Please visit a doctor and get your thyroid hormone levels checked to rule out any thyroid issue. Addition of low dose antipsychotic like Olanzapine or Risperidone or Quetiapine can help in treating the symptoms.
