What Causes Diarrhea, Appetite Loss And Tiredness When Diagnosed With Diverticulitis?
I was diagnosed with Diverticulitis 7 days ago when I went to my doctor because I had severe stomach pain, she put me in two antibiotics for 10 days. I did not eat for 4 days because I was having diarreah. then on the 5th started to eat a baked potato, vegetable juice, jello,. don t get hungry but thirsty very tired. Im concerned
Diverticulitis is the swelling and inflammation of the intestines. This can cause pain, contractions, nausea, and vomiting.
There is likely to be a loss of appetite. The treatment is usually to treat any infection and eating a bland liquid like diet to help prevent nausea and diarrhea.
In case this is not helping, it would be a good idea to see a doctor again and to get a scopy or visualisation of the colon done to help confirm if there is any infection or any other disease.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
