Hello,
Infections can scar the foreskin causing it less stretchy & making retraction difficult. Tears & inflammation may occur resulting in phimosis or
paraphimosis.
Do not try to apply force to retract the foreskin or roll it back. You can apply locally
steroid cream- Betamathasone(0.5%) in the area affected. Apply it twice daily for 4-6 weeks, it will relieve the symptoms.
Wear cotton clothes & maintain good hygiene but be gentle with the skin. However, you are suggested to get it clinically examined by a GP.
Sometimes depending on the severity of infection, a small slit in the skin needs to be done to loosen the it or partial or complete
circumcision may be required to be done.
Neglect may cause worsening of symptoms or may complicate to
penile cancer. Get it treated at the earliest.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
