What Causes Exaggerated Response To Stimuli In A Child?

My son has the following symptoms: multiple very light colored cafe au lait macules with irregular borders, impulsivity, an exaggerated startle response to stimuli in which his arms tense up, twist and lift, especially when playing video games. He once had a sleep deprivation EEG that showed a slight irregularity in the left hemisphere, however, he did not fall asleep during it.

He does not have the other markers for NF1, but he does seem to have a lot of the markers for ADHD. Do you think it warrants another visit to the pediatric neurologist or perhaps could it be something adrenal?
