What Causes Extreme Fluctuations In Blood Pressure Levels?

My father suffers from extreme blood pressure fluctuations. It is very high at night and very low during the day. He is taking Lisinopril and amlodipine. If he doesn t take the amlodipine his BP goes very high at night. But if he does take it it drops too low all day and he is miserable. I just don t know how to proceed.

Hi
Thanks for positng your query on HCM
I have read and understood your concern
The best ways to manage bood pressure are diet control(low salt)/life style modification and taking drugs as prescribed when on drugs.Flutuations are possible but extremes will need reevaluation and dose adjustments of drugs.I will suggest you see his Doctor or a Cardiologist for better BP follow-up.
Hope this will help. You may write back if more concerns
