General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Gastroenteritis is most commonly caused by viral or bacterial infection. It is likely based on the course of your symptoms that the infection is viral.

The main aspect of treatment is fluid management to prevent or treat dehydration.

This involves the use of oral rehydration solutions or gatorade.

The use of probiotics would also help to decrease the symptoms and restore normal bacteria.
This can be in the form of yogurt or can be taken directly.

I hope this helps
