What Causes Floaters In The Eyes While On A Vitamin B12 Supplement?

Yes, thank you. I just started taking B12 about a week ago, and coincidentally, my vision is effected. In my peripheral vision od my right eye, it appears like a few hairs that move? Could this be related. At the same doctor s appt., I was told to go on a low carb diet due to elevated A1C(6.4). Could that be the reason?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The low carb diet should not affect your vision negatively, neither should the use of the vitamin B12.

It would be best to see someone to have your vision assessed. It is not likely to be anything serious but you can be checked out to make sure.

I hope this helps.
