Hi there,
I sometimes get swollen, almost boil like bumps, in the hair area of my groin. Never in the vaginal area. I find sitting a lot, for example on long bike rides, wearing tight fitting clothing (underwear, swimwear, bike shorts) makes it worse. There are NO puss filled pockets, more like an underground pimple. The bumps will usually be preceded by a hot/warm itching on the surface of the skin (due to swelling), sometimes also accompanied by tenderness inside the groin area of the leg. When the swelling occurs there is NO rupture of any kind, just the gradual disappearance of the swelling and no more redness or itching. I have regular pap tests all negative. I am married with the same sexual partner and he has no STD's. I am prone to vericose and spider veins and this really resembles more of like a boil or underground pimple, exasperated by tight underwear elastic in the thigh. Is there a reasonable explanation for this? Due to the area (hair part of groin) it's not something I want to discuss openly. Of course I opt to wear loose fitting comfortable underware, but just the pressure of sitting for longer periods of time can cause underware elastic to dig in the thigh area. I am specifically wondering if there is a vascular or glandular explanation for this as this tends to occurs in and around menstruation.
