I have constant head pressure that was 1st accompanied by nasal swelling/ tightness 2 months ago. I went to a walk-in clinic who told me I had a sinus infection even though I didn t have drainage nor fever & wrote me script for Augmentin. I initially got better than symptoms returned 2 wks after finishing the antibiotic along with what we thought was thrush. I have to constantly drink water due to unquenchable thirst which makes me constantly go to the bathroom. I then began experiencing episodes of feeling faint & what I call brain fogginess/disoriented. I saw a family doctor & explained my head pressure, nasal swelling, & explained my constant thirst & peeing problem. She sent me to an allergist who said I tested positive for dust mites & pollen/grass/trees yet I was fine all spring & summer. Allergist said allergies don t make a person thirsty nor feel faint. Family doctor tested my thyroid levels (I have hypothyroidism) & sent me for a thyroid ultrasound all which came back normal. Over the course of the next month I began having episodes of dizziness primarily while seated which seemed very odd. I ended up in ER 3 times with episodes of terrible head pressure, feeling faint, dizziness, & heart palpatations. I was told I had symptoms of dehydration which seemed impossible with all the water I was drinking. It should b noted that when the water thing started, I bought a glucose tester & began checking my blood sugars which are always 80 s in morning & highest 120 2 hrs after eating. The ER told me several times I am not diabetic. I figured DM could not b the case since I have been following a diet of meat (except red), seafood, fruits, lots of veggies, & nuts for 5+ years now. I drink only water & do not eat pizza, pasta, bread, minimal processed foods, & no processed sugar. They checked my electrolytes which were fine & told me I am not anemic. I ve had typical ER bloodwork & CBC 5x, EKG 3x, & chest X-ray with no abnormalities. I convinced my family doctor to send me for a head MRI to check sinuses & pituitary. She agreed & also added inner ear. My MRI results were normal. After doing my own research, I discovered I have diabetes insipidus. My endocrinologist is now going to send me for a water deprivation test which I am very nervous about but realize it must b done to determine the type. It should b noted that I would typically run 3-6 miles 4 days a week & am now unable to run. I get short of breath at times just going up & down stairs & bathing my kids. I seem to have developed some sort of chronic fatugue. I stopped driving for fear of passing out behind the wheel & have missed days of work due to feeling sick. I also don t sleep at night because of the constant need to drink & pee. The one night I did sleep 5 hours I woke up feeling severely dehydrated & faint. I make myself drink water b4 getting out of bed. I have constant nausea & have been losing weight from not eating. I force myself to eat small meals so that if I pass out I will know it s not from my blood sugar. I also have been having night sweating in which I wake up & my sheets are soaked. I also recently began getting red hot patches on the tops of my feet mostly at the end of the day & profuse foot sweating even without socks on. I began doing more research over the past week & started looking up illness from breast implants which I have had the last 6 years (silicone). I came across the alpha MSH test & topic of mold from implants. I convinced my family doctor to write me script for the MSH blood test. I now await the results plus waiting to hear what day what day water deprivation test will b done. Any insight? This all started the end of Sept, so in 2 months I have gone from an active runner to what feels like a vegetable. I also just underwent heart Echo & stress test which were normal & wearing a heart monitor for 2 days. It should also b noted my blood pressure is always good 110/70 to 120/80. I know this is a wide array of symptoms. Any advice would b greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Angela
