What Causes Headache And High Fever?

I have been getting headhaches and riased temperature off and on, for a couple of days at a time, for a few months, I have had blood tests and receeved no contact from gp regarding results, the symptoms feel almost like the start of flu or a head cold but not head cold or flu appears, just headache and temp, what could be causing this?
