What Causes Heavy Menstrual Bleeding With Clots?

I had my periods last on 17th August. Since that day till 6th September,I continued taking novelon of pill for 21days. I was asked to stop for 7 days so I didn t take the of pills from 7th till 12th September. I had my periods on 12th September so I took 2tabs on 13th September. My periods is so heavy this time and severe blood clot can be seen this time. Please help me. Why it happened?I was prescribed by doctor to take the oc pills as I have cyst problem.

Hi,

Clots indicate excessive bleeding.

You can take drugs like Tranexamic Acid for symptomatic relief.

If symptoms persist better to consult a gynecologist and get an ultrasound scan done.
