Hello,

Depression usually occurs due to the following reasons:
1) Serotonin disturbances in brain
2) Genetic factors
3) Stressors like chronic pain, inter-personal losses

But as per the symptoms you have mentioned, it's very very mild form of depression that can be easily recovered from. To those patients who come to me with similar symptoms I usually advise the following:
1) Don't be alone for most of the time either spend with family or friends
2) Daily meditation and yoga in the morning are very useful
3) Daily physical activity for at least 30 min 6 days a week is beneficial
4) Spend more time in natural surroundings that will boost your mood
5) Spend time with kids and eat healthy food
6) Don't watch any electronic device screens like mobile, laptop before sleep. lack of sleep further aggravated depression.
Now coming to the treatment of depression
Pharmacological treatment
Cognitive behavioral therapy
Pharmacological treatment includes various drugs but I recommend tab. Escitalopram 5mg daily once for 1 month. You can also consult a clinical psychologist if needed but your case is very mild that i don't see the necessity yet.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hello,

You are suffering from depression. And during the time of depression get very quiet and in yourself. This happens one or twice a month. You are not a smoker and neither an alcoholic. You are depressed at night and can't sleep in the morning. Depression can occur due to various causes like stress, depression due to stress can be intermittent.

This occurs when you have trouble managing a stressful event in your life, such as a death in your family, a divorce, or losing your job. Psychotherapy can be helpful. It can also be due to a developing bipolar disorder. You may feel depressed at a low period or at the high depressive period.

You are suggested to get clinically examined by a psychiatrist. You may need to take mood stabilizers or anti depressants. It can be due to genetic disorder, it is triggered by the chemical imbalances in the brain. It can be coupled with insomnia. It can become a complicated disorder if not treated in time. Get clinically assessed and treated at the earliest.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
