What Causes Light Period Bleeding After Taking I Pill?

Hello,

My wife and I had sex without any protection. She is a 22 year old. The act happened just after her periods and she took i - pill. But now after only 15 days, she got periods again.
she had very little bleeding and that also at times. This lasted for about 2 days and stopped. Is this a side effect from the pill? should we consult a doctor?

Hello and welcome,
Please do not worry. This type of bleeding is very common with the use of the I pill. There is no need to see a doctor as of now, however if the bleeding perisists then you may consult a doctor.

Her next period may also be according to the date of this bleeding and not in line with her previous menstrual cycle. So please do not worry. Some menstrual irregularities are expected after the use of I pill.

Hope this satisfies your query.
