What Causes Long Lasting High Feeling After Smoking Marijuana?
I smoked some strong marijuana about 2 days ago and now i still feel slightly high! This has never happened before and im worreid that i'll be stuck like this. I am 18 years old, weight about 140 pounds and I'm 5 foot 11. I'm also healthy without any complications
There are several possibilities. They are not likely to be permanent. First, marijuana's active ingredients are oils and they stick to fat and come out irregularly this causes waves of altered feeling after smoking. There is panic, upset, even a PTSD like effect that can come from marijuana. Often there is rapid breathing along with that and the breathing causes people to feel slightly woozy, faint, tingly--we get about a question a day on this. The psychological effects can last indefinitely but that is not common. Much more likely people get over it in a week or up to a month. First, realizing what is going on sort of fixes it. Second, counseling or any treatment for anxiety can also fix it.
