Dear Doctor: In 2004, I was diagnosed with Primary Progressive MS. A spinal tap was negative for plaques, but the brain images indicated MS. Because I have numbness from the neck down to the feet, with no ankle reflexes, I remain ambulatory, but have increasing memory loss and slight balance problems in an upright position. A neurologist just wrote a report stating I never had MS, and that I could be "milking" the system! I don't think so because there has been a myriad of testing done over the last 7 years....including DNA analysis....which indicated PPMS. What can I do to continue to prove my MS has remained in the brain, and progressed within the brain? Thank you very much for any assistance you might offer me. Can you provide a peer-reviewed research paper relative to this type of MS?
