I am 43 with 25 year history of headaches. After many years of pain clinic treatments and PT, I had a fusion (much objected by my neurosurgeon) on C5/C6. It did not relive the pain and actually increased it. After further testing, a Vascular Malformation was located between my shoulder blade and lung which may be laying on a nerve causing shoulder pain and numbness in my right hand. Not yet taken care of due to the expense of a specialist. The fusion was done 7/2008 and as of today is not yet fused (at all). I was then in a car accident (rear ended at 45 while I was at a complete stop) and caused more pain. Today I am experiencing numbness and LOTS of pain in my toes on both feet -- numbeness in all fingers in both hands and have a pain in my neck just below my original fusion. I am concerned but do not want to rush back to the ER.
