Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Numbness In The Leg Radiating To The Head?
I just started with numbness that starts in my leg then moves up my body to my head. Sometimes hard to speak. MD r/o stroke, and states panic attacks. I am not sure even now if this is correct as this comes when I feel calm and am relaxing. I have hx of TIA s with my mother. The neurologist and hospital did not do an EEG. Could I have seizures happening like my mother did?
Numbness and tingling in the limbs may be due to nerve compression or peripheral neuropathy. Use tablet Pregabalin once daily for five days. If symptoms not improved please get it done serum B12 level, hemoglobin status, MRI spine and MRI brain plain may useful. Consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
