What Causes Numbness In The Toes With Spotting?

4 week old ankle dislocation and fibula fracture, resulting in surgery with screw through ankle, two pins through tibia/fibula and several pins into plate up the fibula. Experiencing numbness in toes, esp big toe, and notice a white spot, approx 1/2 inch in diameter that is numb. Should I be concerned and seek further medical attention?
