my right calf has been sore constantly for 3 mos. It is sore below the calf and feels like it runs horizontally. I am 140 pounds and have had no injuries recently. I am 50yrs old retired military. I run up and down stairs all day as a medical records courier. Any help would be appreciate before I go to my base pcm and they waist my pto.. My email address is YYYY@YYYY . Thank you all of you professionals giving up your time..
unilateral calf pain could suggest your have a muscle strain resulting from the continued over use of the muscles as you have indicated you use stairs frequently. If so pain killers and physiotherapy could do you a great deal of help. However i would still want to rule out other causes like DVT( Deep Vein Thromboses) thus an Ultrasound Doppler would be indicated
