Hi I am a 42 year old woman, I have been diagnosed with CAD, I smoke 2 pks a day with a quit date of 04/22/2011 and I have diabetes.

Starting last month while at work my right leg swelled up pretty bad from the knee down. I had not hurt the leg that I know of, I actually sit down for my 8 hour shift so can't think of anything I did to the leg. Went to sleep and when I woke up in the morning the leg was still a little swollen but nothing like the night before. Went to work and after about 3 hours the leg swelled up again. It got kind of painful that night so put ice and decided I would go to doctor the next day. When I got up the leg was fine. It has not swelled up like it had those couple of nights since, but I have a lot of discomfort in the back of my leg I guess the calf area and the front outside of the leg especially when walking and when I drive. Is this something I need to worry about? or could it just be a muscle strain or something?
