Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
can sinus pain hurt in your lower jaw? I have earache, lower and upper jaw , cheeks, sinus pain. I'm breathing clearly. greatest pain is lower jaw. had upper bone graft and implant months ago, but dental surgeon says pain is not from implant/bone graft due to sensitivity to hot/cold. it can hurt for 2-3 days and then no pain for days. allergies are worse so assuming it is sinus pain?
Lower jaw pain is not commonly seen due to sinus infection as sinuses are present in proximity of upper teeth and any problem associated with sinuses causes upper jaw, cheek pain and headache..
However lower jaw pain can be due to causes any decayed tooth, jaw joint problems or can be due to nerve induced pain like Trigeminal Neuralgia..
So my suggestion is to consult an Oral Physician or an Oral Surgeon and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigation like Panoromic x ray can help in ruling out the cause of pain.. Treating the underlying cause will help in relieving the symptoms..
For now take painkillers like Ibuprofen for moderate pain and if pain is severe narcotic painkillers can help in pain relief..
Hope this helps..
Regards.
