What Causes Sporadic Pain In The Left Side Of The Chest?
For about a month now I have been having sporadic pain just under my left breast and just to the left of the solarple(sp). these pains feel like bee stings and go away very quickly. I have seen my cardiologist who says theyare not heart related. Sometimes these episodes will last for 5-10 minutes with multiple stings and other times there may be only one sting and then gone. Any thoughts?
Based on the description, the pain sounds as though it may be neurological in origin.
Nerve related pain can vary. It can be intermittent and may be sharp, sticking, tingling, numbness, burning in nature.
There are different possible causes such as: (1)vitamin b12 or folate deficiency (2)trauma (3)liver or kidney disease (4)diabetes (5)exposure to toxins (6)multiple sclerosis or other neurological conditions (7)hormonal diseases such thyroid disease (8)idiopathic (cause not known)
Your GP would be able to assess you to determine if any of these is present.
I hope this helps
