What Causes Swelling In Lower Leg,ankle And Foot?

Fell and badly bruised left leg just below knee on inside of leg. ER xrays show no break, Personal Dr. prescribed hydrocodone, alleve and ice packs. Appt. on Tuesday for follow up xray. Today lower leg, ankle and foot are swollen. Leg and foot feel warm to the touch. Color in toes and foot ok, no numbness in those areas. I am concerned about the heat and redness, should I seek attention now or can it wait until my follow up on tues.
