What Causes Waves Of Numbness Along Left Side Of Head?

Hi,

my name is Becky, I'm a 30 yr old female. I'm type 1 diabetic on insulin pump. BS are 200-300 regarless of insulin intake or food. I have "waves of numbness" along the whole left side of my head. They dont last long, and usually dont have any other symtoms. I was diagnosed with epilepsy in Janurary only for them to come back in March and say just kidding we think its atypical migraines. I was in the military stationed in Fallon, NV from 2000-2002 where i was exposed to very high levels of arsenic. I've recently learned I was also exposed to depleted uranium, of course I'll never get our gov't to admit that...but these are just some things I've been researching that can cause my symptoms, including endocrine disorders (diagnosed 2001, no fam history).
