What Causes White Head Pimples On Body?

I have gotten these tiny little, what appear to be, white head zits on my body from time to time. I had on on my shoulder where over the years I have gotten sun spots from being out doors. I popped the so called zit a few months ago and it has now turned into a small, red, slightly raised, flat, spot. it doesnt hurt it just hasn't gone away.. 30/m/190lbs healthy
