What Do These BP Levels Indicate Inspite Of Taking Ramipril?

Good evening Dr Rynne. I have been taking Ramipril (2.5mg/day) for the last 6 months. My blood pressure averaged over the last week (14 readings) was 123 / 78.I have checked it twice today and got 106 / 67 this morning and now, at 8pm it is 94/87. This seems abnormal. Is it OK or should I be doing something?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you are taking Ramipril for monitoring blood pressure a sit is anti hypertensive, your present blood pressure levels are getting very low which is somehow abnormal. I would suggest you to visit cardiologist once and get it examined. Go for electrocardiogram and get cardiac values monitored and get it diagnosed. Change medication and start treatment after proper diagnosis. Till then avoid fatty food. avoid hot, spicy and very sharp food. Drink plenty of water.
Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
