What Do You Suggest For Severe Headaches With Hiatal Hernias When On Atenolol And Neurontin?

I am a 40yr old male. I suffer from chronic, severe headaches (dull yet painful, pounding. Usually starts at the base of skull (back) and transcends thru to my eye(s)). Usually, the pain is more on one side, but sometimes equally on both. Can get so painful, that it encompasses my entire head & I can t pinpoint the origin. At night (usually after eating), I get facial hotness & flushing (especially ears) & my belly is overly bloated (I have 2 hiatal hernias, causes by an older injury, where i was tightly & abruptedly squeezes around my abdomine). These symptoms exacerbate my headache (or at times, cause the headache). My neurologist has prescribed numerous different meds, but they have been ineffective (Topamax, Atenolol, Neurontin, Maxalt, Abilify, etc, etc). My headaches range from: 1 to 2 a week...up to 4-6x s a wk. The regiment of ibuprofen, every 6-8 hrs, provides the best relief. However, i cant keep taking this high amount of ibuprofen, for as long as I have been (several months)? Thank you! GR
