What Does A Red Bruise On The Lower Lip Indicate?

I got a red what looks like a bruised lower lip after doing CPR training this morning, My Brother got one also not exactly like mine but it was his lower lip and I used the plastic mouth cover, I don t remember pressing that hard on the practice dummy.

Hi,

It could be a purpura due to mild trauma. You could take a Vitamin C tablet for a week.

If you do not get any response in a week or your rash is increasing in size, you should consult your Dermatologist for further management.

Hi,

The bruise could be due to to a trivial trauma, probably due to suction. I do not think you need any active intervention immediately. You could take Vitamin C supplementation. If your bruise does not resolve in a week, you must consult your Dermatologist for further management.
