What Does Extra Skin On Vagina Indicate?

I have a a piece of excess skin on my vagina near the top of the lips above the clit. I believe it is from a bikini trim accident when I knicked myself... It almost looks like a mole only long and soft... What can I do it at times bothers me when wiping.
