Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I started itching on my vulva when my bf and I had sex for the first time and that has been almost 2 years ago. It has been ongoing and I have been to several doctors. My bf got tested for STDS and it came back negative. I have been tested for yeast infection and BV by getting a vaginal swab done. The skin around my anus even started to itch when he touched me there by accident and that has been ongoing as well. Could I have an STD even though I haven t been with anyone else and his tests came back okay? Is it possible that he could just be a carrier of something? I guess I could also be allergic to him....
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
As per my clinical experience, the issue of itching mandates underlying presence of allergy for sure.
Now it is matter of concern that it is not shown up in the evaluation, means that it is atypical type of allergen, needs to be specifically seen with an expert microbiologist.
Thanks.
Take care.
