What Does Pain And Swelling In The Abdomen Indicate?

My friend has been having pain in her abdomen and it gets hard and swollen after she eats or drinks. She has seen a GI and had done endoscopy and testing for H Pylori with both being negative. They are now sending her to Internal medicine doctors and she doesn t know what is causing this yet. Any ideas?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
abdominal swelling and pain suggest there could be some obstruction that could be due to mechanical/physical blockage .which could simply be stool or a mass.or some physiologic problem with her intestines not moving food contents properly. It would be more easier to assist with proper history and examination. Also possibly do a colonoscopy and CT scan.
Hopefully she will be seen by a Gastroenterologist who would know better exactly which plan to make for her
