What Does "acute Suppurative Lesion" In Mammography Of Breast Indicate?

Hi Doctor,
My mother is 50 yrs old. She weighs around 85 kg and about 5.4 feet tall.
She had this sudden unbearable pain in her left breast at night. And there was some swelling or some kind of skin hardening on her left breast, which went till the armpit.
In the morning she had high fever which kept rising. After consulting a doctor, we got 3 tests done:
1.     Ultrasound Breast
2.     Mammography (Both Sides)
3.     Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology
The reports were:
Mammography (Both Sides)
Bilateral mommogram has been obtained using a low radiation dose, film screen technique in the cranio-caudal and oblique projections.
The study reveals dense & coarse glandular parenchymal pattern. No evidence of any mass lesion/micro-calcification seen.
No direct/indirect signs of malignancy seen.
Skin thickness is normal on both sides.
Ultrasound
- Ultrasound with high resolution probe showed few dilated ducts in right breast.
-Multiple grossly dilated ducts with edema seen in left breast.
-Few cysts also seen in left breast measuring 9-12mm
Impression –dilated ducts in both breasts (L>R)
+ Cysts left breast + Edema Left breast
Advised – Correlate clinically
Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology
FNAC performed from left breast lesion yielded thin pus. Smears show cellularity comprising of sheets of viable and degenerated polymorphs and phagocytics histiocytes in background of necrotic material and RBC’s.
No ductal cells or granuloma seen.
AFB Stain – Negative
Impression – Acute suppurative lesion.

If you could please tell what the reports suggest and if her situation is serous. Also if there is any possibility of it being cancerous. She is currently on antibiotics. Hope that is fine.
Thanks,
Neha
