What Does This MRI For Lumbosacral Spine Indicate?

Hi doctor iam from kerala ,my husband age is 33 he had pain in his left leg for the last 6 months ,after sitting continuously he is not able to stand because of the pain and we consulted a doctor ,he was given some pain killer tablets like movoncr ,hifenac etc after taking these tablets there is some relief but again after 1 or 2 days the pain is started. Actually 6 months back he fell down from the chair in which he was sitting, also after that incident about 1 week later we had a long trip in our car ,and then while parking the car,one of the tyre fell in to a drench as we didnt notice that gap, and he alone pulled the tyre , after these incidents the pain in the left leg was severe.1 month before doctor adviced us for the physiotherapy and he also did that but still then the pain existed and he was to take the MRI scan. The conclusion of the MRI of lumbosacral spine is as follows . Dehydration, annular bulge& broad based left paracentral protrusion of L5/S1 disc- with thcal sac indentation & left S1 nerve root impingement.

Doctor is this a serious condition. iam very much depressed after seeing this result . i will be glad if i get a proper answer
