What Does This Pelvic Ultrasound Report Mean?

hi Dr. Process to dye my wife tubes uterus house process and this is the report n Please advise me. normal size, shape position of the uterus visualized both tubes with immediate spill noted free peritoneal smearing seen in second film suggestive of patent both tubes at their fimbrial ends

Hi,

Thanks for posting in HCM.

Whenever HSG scan is done, the following things are noted.
1. Uterine cavity fearures.
2. Normal anatomy of Fallopian tubes on either side.
3. Patency on both sides at the fimbrial end.

Once the dye is injected, if there is unfirm distribution of it without any filling defect in uterus and Fallopian tubes, then it is normal.

If the dye is seen in peritoneal cavity, then it indicates patency of the tubes.

Since both these things are seen, the tubes are patent and uterus with Fallopian tubes are normal.
There is no anatomical abnormalities seen.
