What Does This Sonography Report With Enlarged Ovaries Indicate?

Hi,

this is charlie, the below mentioned report is of my Wife(Sonography Report)

The real time, B mode, sonography of pelvis was performed on a voluson 3D scanner with convex probe it reverals.

Both ovaries are enlarged in size & show multiple small follicles along the periphery and central echogenic stroma suggestive of bilateral polycystic ovaries.

The right ovary measures 4.2 X 2.4 X 2.0 cms.

The left ovary measures 3.7 X 2.5 X 1.8 cms.

The left & right ovarian volumes are 11 cc & 9 cc respectively.

No adnexal mass is seen.

There is no evidence of any free fluid in cul de sac.

IMPRESSION: Bilateral polycystic ovaries noted.

Please suggest what are the symptoms, how it can be cured, what are the medications to be taken to ensure safety.

Awaiting a Positive response.
