What Does Viral Cervical Spondylosis Mean?

I am a 45 year old generally healthy female. I started suffering neck pain initially in the nape of my neck, but this has now spread to the sides of my neck, I have had this for 5 days, accompanied by aching leg muscles, back ache, and lethargy, my doctor diagniosed this as viral cervical spondylosis and prescribed diclofenac sodium slow release. Is there anything I need to be concerned about?
