What Is The Difference Between Folinine And L-folinine?
Hi Doctor, I am 8 weeks pregnant. My Doctor told me to take Folinine capsules but my chemist gave L-folinine capsule. I am taking this medicine from past 3 weeks . Today only I noticed that Folinine and L-folinine are different medicines. Will this harm my child?
No Not to worry at all. Every drugmolecule exist in two forms dextro rotatary(D) & leavo rotarary (L). the D form & L form have slight diffrances in its properties. Usually the L ( levorotatary ) form has same effects as the regular from but lacks in many of the side effects of the drug. So taking the L form i.e. L Folinine would be more safer & more benificial. So do not worry about the same. You will surely have nice baby !!!
