What Is The Movable Bump Underneath The Knee Area?

Hi, I am 14 years old and 120 lbs. About a month ago I was running back to my house in the dark and my toes hit the first stair of a few leading to the apartments I hadn t seen. My knees took the impact when I landed. I felt more pain in the left knee but it only swelled up, while the other one swelled and bruised up after a few days. But the left one never bruised. Right now the area where I landed on it is numb when I apply the slightest pressure, but when I pass my hands over it slowly it feels normal. If I slide my hand to the right of the area, there is a slight bump and if I touch it, I feel something move underneath the numb area. But there is no pain whatsoever. Is this normal? Thanx.
