What Is The Procedure For Cauterization?

Hi, I am a 64-year-old male, in fairly decent health, that had a benign tumor removed from the bladder on February 15, 2011. The first four days of recovery was going well. I have an enlarge prostrate which has caused me to strain to urinate. Because of this, I have started bleeding inside which has caused blood clots. The blood clots have started making it impossible to urinate. A catheter was put in 3 weeks ago to keep the blood clots from stopping up the urinary canal. Now, the catheter is getting stopped up. Flushing the catheter is now a daily chore. After the flow returned, the canal and the catheter was stopped up again within on to two hours. Each time I flush the bladder, I have a lot, and I mean a lot, of blood clots that come out. And I am still constantly flushing. I have been bleeding since Februrary 15, 2011. Today (March 21, 2011), my physician had me scheduled for cauterization of the area where the tumor was removed. What is this procedure and how is it done? What is the pain level? Whatbis the recovery time? When the tumor was removed I was under general anesthesia. I had no problem s with the procedure and the Laing was minimal and tolerable.
