What Is The Treatment For Numbness In The Right Side Of The Face?

I am a 46 year old female/ 5'9/220lbs having had microvascular decompression surgery done in August 2008 for trigeminal neuralgia. The surgery has helped significantly, but I still have days with pain, numbness, dizziness, etc. Recently, when my husband and I have sex I have been experiencing a severe numbness that starts on the right side of my face (the side effected by the TN) that will travel to the left side and down both my arms and even my upper chest. This numbness doesn't feel like regular "my foot fell asleep" numbness. The tingles feel almost bigger, if that makes any sense at all. I seemed to be out of it for a few minutes. I got a bag and breathed into it thinking it was possibly from hyperventilating, but the tingling seemed to last 10-15 minutes longer after my breathing got back to normal. We were in the missionary position and I did not have an orgasm. I am concerned that it is related to the TN or the MVD. Any thoughts?
